Indirect Procurement Manager, Global Indirect Procurement – Tokyo

Responsibility Level

This position has two roles. One is as Takeshiba operation leader and another one as operation leader of JCH Sales Offices.

As Takeshiba operation leader ensure all daily operation align with company policy & procedure. Responsible for TWC improvement target and submit monthly report on timely manner.

As keeper of Takeshiba, responsible for PO review and approval of requests. This includes, but is not limited to, as a Q&A window of Takeshiba regarding vendor registration, modification and deletion (MDG) window. Review and approve (change/cancel) POs in (SAP) & manual POs on time. File the manual POs and related approval evidence for both manual and system POs. Complete the monthly statistics report including the outstanding order, accounts payable and etc. Maintain ERP related master and support the finance team on the payment related affairs, if necessary. Organize the indirect bidding at Takeshiba Office following sourcing board process.

Portfolio requirements and commercial knowledge requirements will include familiarity of Excel, PPT, PV table etc. office tools.

Process requirements will include PO process, payment process as required.

Principl Duties


This individual requires a high degree of initiatives, business judgement, persuasiveness, assertiveness, be able to work with all levels of the company and the ability to perform the position requirements. Able to work with minimal amount of direct supervision while building strong relationships with internal colleagues.

Interact with all colleagues of the HQ Procurement organization and other JCH procurement organizations to effectively leverage JCH’s procurement practices.

Keep management chain informed of developing situations and project status on a regular, professional basis.

Track saving results on timely manner and identify situations where have been to escalate to management

Responsible to execute Purchasing functions in compliance with global and regional policies, including escalation.

Build working practices with local procurement organizations to establish proper methods and control over the issuing of Procurement Purchase Orders for each Business Unit at Takeshiba.

Through daily operation, perform trouble shooting on time and propose improvement and deliver the result within determined the time frame.


Details of Responsibilities

Works directly with key internal members of the Takeshiba & Japan BUs Community in Asia and beyond as situationally required. Will interact at all levels with the Purchasing organization to understand savings, align with Company Strategies and perform effectively all purchasing activities.

Manages PO processes in Takeshiba align with JCH compliance policy.

Execute the awarding procedures and work with regional Business Unit procurement departments to have Purchase Orders issued once the plant purchasing department has obtained all required authorizations and approvals.

Follow strict segregation of duty requirements never entering situations of compromise or where you are both the issuer and authorizer of an order.

Works closely with the team to create monthly reports based on provided template on time manner.

Continually looks for ways to improve and exceed expectations, increase efficiency implement better process.

  • Bachelor’s level degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related Procurement work experience, with strong demonstrated experience in PO process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without direct day to day supervision and a conscientious and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to utilize office skill to create monthly report.
  • Must have experience working in major Corporations with international/global operations.
  • Proven quality focus in providing internal customer solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and to evolve efficiently to complete.



  • Ability to speak multiple languages: English must; Japanese must and Chinese better
  • Base location: Takeshiba
  • Previous experience in aligning PO process, global standards and local characteristics
  • Office tooling is preferable including Micro Office and Power BI
