Senior PLM Business Analyst, Engineering Excellence Division

The PLM Senior Business Analyst works with the business to analyze, prioritize, categorize, and document business needs. The position is responsible for detailing business processes and collecting data on challenges and pain points. The PLM Senior Business Analyst assists the business with development and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT). The position is responsible for working with PLM Solution Architects to communicate business requirements.
- Principl Duties
The successful candidate will have business process experience and knowledge as well as an understanding of modern PLM applications, preferably PTC Windchill. This individual should understand the lifecycle of HVAC products, including the methods and practices used to design, develop, manufacture, and service those products. The individual will need excellent written and oral communication skills as a primary task will be interviewing BT&S product development groups on challenges and pain points associated with current/as-is processes for managing product development. Deep business process knowledge is required to enable this individual to solicit, consolidate, and synthesize feedback from process owners and subject matter experts to identify and prioritize PLM process improvement opportunities.
- Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role or related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience with PLM, preferably as PTC Windchill Solution Architect
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and work collaboratively with a global community including user, architecture, development, and support groups.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation detailing business processes and requirements.
- Thorough understanding of use case development, test planning, and test execution.
- Ability to perform abstraction, modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems.
- Ability to perform abstraction, modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems.
Preferred
- Knowledge in Value Stream Mapping and Business Process Hierarchy concepts.
- Experience in HVAC industry
- Prior experience with CAD Data Management in PLM and PLM-ERP process integration
- Experience developing training material and curriculum
