Responsibility Level
  1. To facilitate plant leadership teams and AME resources in understanding the fundamentals of completing process transformation, to include value stream mapping, developing insights and creative solutions and doing hands on coaching to achieve the future state process.
  2. Leads reviewing Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) for new projects, major changes and continuous initiatives.
Principl Duties
  1. Support the JCH Global Manufacturing Team.
  2. Coordinate and manage manufacturing processes in JCH plants, Final Assembly as a first priority.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product design, manufacturing and assembly techniques of JCH products and processes.
  4. Develop and implement product quality standards in process.
  5. Evaluate and continuously improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency.
  6. Communicate with JCH plants and if required process vendors to understand and determine equipment specifications.
  7. Prepare purchase costs (CAR) for production equipment based on product specifications.
  8. Estimate resource requirements, workload assignment, production times and schedule for manufacturing processes.
  9. Measure and confirm manufacturing capacity and productivity in JCH processes. Monitor production forecasts and highlight needs to expand capacity in a timely manner.
  10. Coordinate with design, sales and operations teams to develop manufacturing plans for new products or major changes to achieve corporate cost and quality objectives.
  11. Conduct regular project meetings with management and team members to track project status and progress.
  12. Develop budgets for product manufacturing and upgrading processes.
  13. Develop standard procedures to improve manufacture processes and to reduce overall cost.
  14. Supervise engineering team and manufacturing team members to execute and deliver products within approved timelines and budget.
  15. Expected travel to JCH plants would be up to 60%.
  16. Develop manufacturing process and equipment standards to be used in all locations.
  17. Support Core / Non-Core process management.
  18. Plan and implement manufacturing footprint changes within the JCH group.
  19. Ensure that all equipment, processes and facilities conform to all required Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Will have 5 plus years in a similar position within manufacturing.
  • Able to facilitate plant leadership teams in understanding the fundamentals and in completing the actual process transformation, to include value stream mapping, developing insights and creative solutions and doing hands on coaching to achieve the future state.
  • Exhibits effective influencing techniques to ensure team’s understanding, acceptance and active involvement in advanced manufacturing.
  • Ideally would have Lean Manufacturing training certification.
  • Builds relationships and influences others to build momentum in process change.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Willing to travel up to 60%.
  • Good analytical mind.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
