Tokyo Head Quarter

• Depending upon language skills of incumbent, their primary focus will be to support JCH Controller with monitoring Japan or China/Taiwan based entities and ledgers, and completing monthly and ad hoc reports for entities in scope. However, from time to time, the incumbent maybe requested to support the JCH Controller with reporting and analysis for other regions (eg, Europe, NA, Brazil, SEA)
• Collaborate with, coach and monitor the Record to Report teams that support the underlying or transactional details of the entities for which the incumbent is responsible.
• Provide financial leadership, training and direction to the business unit finance and operating teams
• Identify opportunities and drive movement of activities to the Company’s FCOEs (e.g. Record to Report)
• Participate on cross-functional teams that will support financial accounting, reporting and control activities for complex transactions 
• Support business with developing and implementing initiatives; explaining technical accounting and its impact on reporting; interpretation and explanation of Policies; proactively identify business/financial opportunities and corrective actions and their implementation or communicating them to management for implementation
• Monitors and supports the internal control functions

• Thorough understanding of US GAAP, and JCI / JCH finance policies
• Familiarity with FCOE and processes undertaken by RTR, OTC & PTP groups
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in JCI locations, and use of OneStream system
• Flexibility to work with people with different cultural backgrouds and in different time zones
• Advanced Microsoft Office software skills
