CEO, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning
Franz has served in a variety of operations, commercial and finance leadership positions within Automotive Experience and Building Efficiency during his tenure with Johnson Controls. During his 20-year tenure with the company, Franz has had experience leading significant change across multiple regions and cultures, having worked for Johnson Controls based in Mexico, US and Japan. Throughout his career, Franz has led initiatives that significantly improved profitability and performance in Johnson Controls’ automotive and HVAC businesses. During his previous 4-year assignment in Japan, he led the finance function for Asia Pacific & Japan and represented Johnson Controls in a number of Joint Ventures in China, South East Asia, India and Korea.
Franz holds bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla in Mexico and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Shinichi began his career with Hitachi Ltd. in 1979, responsible for the design of Air Conditioning export. He has held various positions in Product Development, Environmental Equipment, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Division.
Shinichi started to work in India in 2002 and was appointed as the President of Hitachi Home & Life Solutions (India) Ltd. in 2006. He returned to Japan and became head of Tochigi Air Conditioning. He has been an Executive Director and Chief of Air Conditioning Division since 2013.
Throughout his career, Shinichi has held various positions in Engineering/Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, and specializes in Business Operations.Shinichi holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology from Sophia University.
He becomes COO & President of Johnson Controls – Hitachi Air Conditioning effective October, 2015.
Chief Financial Officer
Nobuyuki joined the Johnson Controls group (former Johnson Controls Automotive Systems, currently Adient) in 2010 after working for several leading global companies in the automotive industry. After joining Johnson Controls Automotive Systems, Nobuyuki successively held financial leader’s positions for key customer business units, including Asia Finance Director for Nissan Customer Business Unit, Global Finance Director for Toyota Customer Business Unit, and Global Finance Director for Nissan Customer Business Unit. Since 2014, Nobuyuki was leading the commercial finance team of the $5 billion business, the Global Asian Customer Group as Global Finance Director.
Nobuyuki joined Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning in June 2017, and was appointed as CFO in December of the same year.
Nobuyuki holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Brigham Young University in Utah, U.S.A.
