Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning, a leading global air conditioning manufacturer, today announced plans to invest $US135 million towards the relocation and expansion of its factory in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China.

The investment will commence in 2020 and continue for three to four years. The new factory is scheduled to be completed in May 2021 with production commencing January 2022.

“Our Wuhu factory has long served as a key manufacturing facility in our global residential air conditioner business. We are now very excited to further invest in Wuhu as we relocate and expand the facility’s capabilities to cover commercial products,” commented Franz Cerwinka, Chief Executive Officer, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning.
