India VP and GM named “Most Promising Leader of the Year” by WBR Corp

April 9, 2018 – Gurmeet Singh, Vice President and General Manager of Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited, has been recognized as the “Most Promising Leader of the Year” in the Commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration category by World Business Review Corporation (WBR Corp.).

At an award ceremony held in Mumbai on February 28, 2018, Singh’s long-term contributions to the Indian heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry were recognized, in particular his extensive work with various government bodies informing effective policies and helping to develop the entire local air conditioning industry.

WBR Corp. is one of the top brand management consulting and researching firms in Asia, and has been doing events in India and at an international level for more than a decade. This year’s “Most Enterprising Brands & Leaders of Asia 2018″ awards attracted more than 1,500 entries, which were evaluated and shortlisted in different categories.

After accepting his award, Singh stated, “It is a great honor to be recognized at such a big forum, where brands and leaders of international stature are involved. I dedicate this award to my journey with Hitachi. Backed by innovation, technology, and industry-leading expertise, we are all set to take the Hitachi brand to new heights.”

Singh has more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC industry and has been associated with the Hitachi brand for more than 15 years. He is the President of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association, and an Executive Committee member of the Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA). He is also no stranger to accolades, having been given the “Man of Appliances” award by CEAMA last year for his outstanding contributions to the appliances industry.
